Drake, Briggs, Frank, Mike, Tordain and Grum prepared to teleport to Pazoli. They obtained armor for Tordain. They appeared outside the wall where the temple was located. Drake used pass wall to make an opening through the city wall into the temple. There were half-fiends, half-dragons and tieflings, so the group bombarded them with fireballs before engaging in melee. Frank ran upstairs to make sure that no pursuit would be coming from that direction while Grum put bodies into the portable hole. Motion at the trap door drew more fireballs from the group. They descended and headed to the door. Once opened, there were four half-dragons arrayed around the room. The group was aided in defeating them by two of the half-dragons hitting one of the others. Briggs made a dodo bird and Drake made a scarlet macaw. They used knock to open the door and were harried by Quasits on the way. Briggs decided to catch a quasit and imprison it in his handy haversack. They used knock on the door and needed to destroy orc zombies. Frank slowly headed through the passageway while Grum put bodies in the portable hole. More tieflings and half-dragons appeared in the passageway and were quickly dispatched. Three red half-dragons entered from the room and Grum engaged them at the doorway while Drake turned the ones in the back into Scarlet Macaws. Frank entered the large hall and saw a bugbear in the corner. He managed to free Ben the Bugbear by the time the party began trickling into the room. They faced some babau demons. Once those were defeated the group had the three with Detect Secret Doors canvas the walls. Tordain found one quickly. Some tieflings showed up before Briggs found one. Once they had determined that those were the only two, the group decided to try the door between the two passageways. Once opened, they saw a gate with two babaus. Off to one side was a half-fiend lich and across from him was an altar with two half-fiend minotaurs. A wall of fire appeared in the doorway, the group made a plan to dimension door to the altar, grab the pages and teleport to Maltese. Mortimer, Frank and Ben then teleported to Everett in the dwarf compound to deliver the page and cover. Drake, Grum and Tordain teleported to Maltese after providing distraction and then to Brakken.

Exploring temple underground in Odiferous

Drake, Frank, Grum, Mortimer and Sariah met up with Briggs in Maltese and discussed what happened in Pazoli. The group decided to return via tourist airship again. They headed directly to the Odiferous Ward and cast spells in preparation for entering. Grum and Briggs took out 6 zombies in the first block, 5 in the second and 6 in the third. At the temple there were two half-fiend minotaurs guarding. Mortimer cast a lightning arc. A babau demon appeared behind the group near the sewage. Briggs attacked the babau demon. Grum charged a half-fiend minotaur. Frank shot the other half-fiend minotaur. Sariah shot the babau demon. The babau attacked Briggs. The half-fiend minotaurs both attacked Grum. Drake attacked the half-fiend minotaurs. Mortimer called lightning and cast acid to kill the babau. Frank shot the half-fiend minotaur. Grum and Sariah finished off one of them and wounded the other. Briggs turned the last one into a parakeet. Frank and Grum joked about shooting the parakeet.

Drake began fabricating a cage for Briggs’ parakeet. 5 zombies and 3 tieflings (invisible) approached. Briggs put 2 tieflings asleep. Grum, Sariah and Mortimer attacked the zombies. Frank sprayed the area in which the tieflings were located. The team escaped any real damage. Frank killed a zombie. Sariah did a bank shot off of a sleeping tiefling towards the awake tiefling’s gonads. He dodged into the burning sewage. Mortimer and Briggs attacked with magic and Grum entered melee with the tieflings. All of the attackers were finished off and then 5 live half dragons and 5 half dragon zombies approached from opposite sides. Briggs turned the first Acid half dragon to appear into a kiwi. Mortimer and Sariah attacked the half dragon zombies (2 lightning, 2 acid, 1 cold). Grum and Frank attacked the half dragons (acid, lightning and 2 cold). The zombies entered the healing zone. The acid and lightning HD attacked Grum in melee. The two cold used magic, one of which was cast in the wrong direction. Sariah, Mortimer and Frank finished off the zombies. Grum attacked the lightning half dragon. Brigs turned the acid half dragon into a kiwi. The three remaining half dragons entered into melee with Grum and ended up in a pile. Grum used his sword to push himself off of the pile. Both cold half dragons were killed and Briggs turned the lightning half dragon into a kiwi and it died, turning into a zombie. Briggs captured one of the live kiwis and the zombie kiwi. Frank put up his fortress and the team rested in order to recuperate. They decided to return to Maltese.

Rumors of Trouble in Telar
Carnivora gets started

Frank, Grum, Mortimer, Drake and Sariah asked around about the Telar rumors. They found out that the zombies seemed to be centered around the Odiferous Ward in Pazoli. The population seems to go about their daily lives. The team found details about the town and any changes in trade. There seemed to be no discernible change. Due to the war with Kalevala, they decided to head directly to Zor.

They found a tourist group headed to Pazoli. Frank found full plate admantite for Grum and a ring of sustenance for Mortimer. They spent a week at an inn keeping watch and listening to rumors. Frank’s tower was placed by the crevasse and was surrounded by zombies. They killed 50 zombies, 4 half dragon zombies, 4 tiefling zombies, 2 half dragons, 8 tieflings and a babau. They were left alone for the next few hours while they searched the bodies and then threw them into the crevasse. They moved the fortress to the first street north of the wall. Grum and Frank mowed down the hundred zombies that surrounded them, while others headed to the fanciest building.

Using greater invisibility and expeditious retreat they set the tower up three blocks in. Mortimer attacked the two half fiend minotaurs with maximized lightning arcs. Drake used magic missiles, revealing that shield was up. Frank and Grum finished them off. They approached the building and portable holed the bodies. Frank and Grum open the double doors, so that Mortimer and Drake can fireball inside. They took out 3 babaus, 4 half-fiend minotaurs and a half-fiend. While surveying the damage, a lightning bolt hit between them. Frank and Grum shot at him. At the top of the stairs they see an orgy going on (5 half-fiend and 6 succubi). Frank tackles Grum and forces him downstairs. Mortimer throws his necklace of fireballs and Drake casts fireball to set off the necklace. The team retreats to the tower expeditiously.

After seeing half-fiends enter and only the half-fiend minotaurs exit, the team decided to look for another exit. They found a trap door that had been covered with an illusion. There was an unlocked door at the end. A room with a door on the upper right and an arch on the far wall. There were 6 half-fiends. One was heading through the door when the team attacked. One ran through the archway while they others were defeated. The team went through the door to another hallway with a door at the end. It was magically locked, so Mortimer used Knock to open it. There were 10 orc zombies inside. Frank sprayed them with bullets and Mortimer fireballed them. The methane from their chamber pot in the corner was set on fire. The team retreated to regroup.
